Recently I purchased a few Japanese printing blocks from Petrie-Rogers Gallery. One of them is an original block of a Japanese commentary on the Tang dynasty monk Zongmi's 宗密 work Inquiry into the Origin of Human Being, Yuanrenlun 原人論 (Genninron). It was titled Uyoku genninron 標科羽翼原人論 , commentated by Entsū 円通(1754-1834), a scholar monk from San'enzan Esho Vinaya Monastery 三緣山惠照律院 and subcommented by Machimoto Tonkū 町元吞空, a scholar monk from Kachōzan University 華頂山大學. It was published in Kyōto by a publisher named Nagata Bunshōdō 永田文昌堂 in Meiji 20 [1887]. The full version of the printout can be found in many libraries and the full text has been digitized by Japanese Diet Library: http://kindai.ndl.go.jp/info:ndljp/pid/818864
