Chinese philanthropist and the founder/chairman of Fuyao Glass 福耀玻璃 Mr. Cao Dewang 曹德旺 is a native of Fuqing 福清 and admirer of Zen master Yinyuan 隐元 who hailed from the same city. As a devout Buddhist, he recently pledged to donate 250 million RMB (close to 40 million USD) to rebuild Wanfu temple 万福寺 in Fuqing. In March 15, 2017, a long article written by Masutomo Takehiro 舛友雄大, titled "Who is the Chinese who was mentioned by Xi Jinping and exerted influence on Edo Japan?" was published in the Japanese edition of Newsweek.
